Decisions: Enjoy or regret it.
Tuesday, November 28th, 2006Not too long ago, i had to make a decision on 2 different events that will happen on the same day. One was a appreciation dinner by my newly-wed members and the other was to attend a friend’s wedding dinner. Here are some rough conclusions on how it went.
Decision A - Appreciation Dinner
My 2 newly wed members invited every member(including myself) that helped out during their wedding at their place for a small thanksgiving dinner. What a nice gesture and i really feel appreciated by them. Anyway, food that was catered that day was delicious & also the fellowship was great, compromising of saboeing members who turned up late for the dinner. Quite entertaining to see people being saboed wearing clown wigs & dancing to the tune of bogey bogey. So basically everything was great because of great company, great food and great entertainment.
Decision B - Wedding Dinner
A friend that i have not seen for a while invited me for her wedding dinner. Ironically, i wasnt invited for the matrimony but just the dinner. When i was there, the hotel car park was full and i had to park over the opposite hotel instead. While crossing over there, i had to jump across this rather sizable drain in my boots. (Thank God i didn’t fall into the drain) When i reached there, i realised that my friend and i are placed under ‘Dad’s collegues’ which means that i have to sit and eat my dinner with a bunch of ah peks for the rest of the night. So sian…. My whole table looked like a typical table setting in Geylang when old men sat with young gals. So basically, everything turned out bad as i didn’t eat much, gave a sizeable amount in the ang pow & ended up paying $9 for car park fees.
Guess which decision did i made??? Comment below.
