Filteration Learning process

Tuesday, September 12th, 2006

Last weekend, Pst taught about some human behaviours are not needed to learn esp the bad ones. Children grow up under the influence 1st from their parent’s behaviours and character. Like the saying, learn the good and not the bad, which i feel that it is very true but nevertheless, without a conscious effort to remember this fact, we are often "lead astray" with no fault of our own.

Truth is we have the ability to make choices, like what Pst said, there are somethings that we don’t need to be angry about. How other people respond to a situation, doesn’t mean we have to respond to it the same way. For e.g, People like me don’t like road hoggers, so often i will be quite irritated & be turned off by them but as a driver yourself, you don’t need to respond like me but u can simply just change lanes n move on.

Therefore, we need to make a conscious effort to filter what we learn thru others. Here are top 10 wrong behaviours that we need to avoid:-

TOP 10 WRONG BEHAVIOURS:-

10. Being angry always abt everything… angry with food that taste bad, angry abt the hot weather in sg, angry how life is unfair… seriously, you need to be in an anger management program. (Now… don’t get angry with me)

9. "Sheep mentality"… your direction in life is following what others do.. If there is a queue for char kway teow, you would queue for char kway teow, if the fashion trend is polka dots, your wardrobe will be filled with dots, even when you are driving, you follow behind a queue instead of trying to find a way out of there quickly.

8. Giving up easily.. when things don’t get your way, you runaway.

7. Being emotional shutdown.. though i sympathise your situation but life isn’t all that exciting if you remain in stone age or in a black n white world. Let go and move on…

6. Being a nag. Whether you are a man or woman, one should NEVER EVER turn into a naggy/whiny/long-winded person. One should always take responsibility over one’s life instead of wanting to take over another’s.

5. Keeping problems to yourself. If you keep suppressing problems to yourself, one day you will find yourself in IMH. Sharing produces release to your own soul, get help from others.

4. Using vulgarity or say curses in your speech (And you are not even angry or anything) Humanly speaking, nobody likes to hear vulgarities, you may think it is cool but it is really a turn off. Normal english/chinese with complete sentences sounds cool too.

3. Gambling. I always think that only uncles & aunties buy 4D & TOTOs but to my amazement, many young people buy them too!! Learned behaviours from their parents.

2. Get irritated by road hoggers & drivers who cut into my line without signalling. Yes yes, i will try to change.

1. You think that all the behaviours stated above are actually GOOD. (*_*)

Hahaha… Funny right??? What is even more funny are the no. of proposals i have heard n seen this year. SO SO many!! Don’t know whether it is because of the Marriage Seminar or cupid is doing overtime..Even my sis was being proposed to last week, this warren… How dare he take my sis away from me!!!

Chances are there will be many weddings to attend to for the next 2 years or so. (@_@) goodness… Nevertheless, happy for all of them esp my sis. I already predict that her 1st child will be a daughter. Hahaha… We shall see if my prophesy will come true. She is kinda disappointed cos she wants a son… oh well, i believe her 1st daughter will be as pretty as her like when she was young. Hehehe

Guess everyone is chasing after the same dream of merging, doing national service.. i am sure that as the marriage seminar progresses, there will be even more wedding bells to be heard… ding dong
