Ok, i must hand it over to Japanese people and all that they are doing.
Look at the trend now, every where i go, i see singaporeans dressing up
like japanese, eating jap food, driving jap. cars and using jap
technological stuff. Whats up with that? I wonder anyone in this world
would want to act and behave like a Singaporean. Haha… think not.
Anyhow, i am a big fan of jap food. I like handrolls and salmon
sashimi. Not only are they non-oily but they are healthy too. No wonder
jap. people live till 100. Today, i am not going to intro u sashimi nor
sushi but jap. pasta!
There is this new shopping place called Central and my oh my, there is
a lot of jap food restaurants there. So i bumped myself into the place
called Pasta De Waraku where they sell all kinds of Jap.self-created
pasta. This ain’t some italian tomato sauce but it has a jap feel to
it.
Look at this big bowl with little soup. It may seem little but it does taste great. I believe this is the corn soup. Haha…
Ok, This is the Hamburg Curry rice. I must say that it is pretty taste good. The beef is soft and the curry is well… taste like jap. Not some grandma’s curry chicken. But is good stuff.
This is the jap-style pasta. Pretty interesting but i still prefer Mr Mario’s pasta style. Still good though.
Last but not least, Jap. dessert. Good stuff… fruits are sweet and crepe is tasty.
Overrall, this place has quite nice atmosphere, waiter and waitressing shouting jap. words of welcome and goodbye. Noisy, but at least u have the illusion of being in japan. Besides that, price is still pricey but if you want to try a different kind of jap. food, this is the place to go.
Address:
Waraku De Pasta

I admit that i have not been blogging much lately because my silly computer was down & still very down. Apparently, the new computer doesn’t have good partnership with me as it keeps shutting down for no apparent reason. All thanks to Windows Vista. Well, actually no thanks.. So troublesome…i am using my sister’s com now to blog. Too bad… i have too much that i wanna blog about so sit back and enjoy My new segment called "What do i think about" is what i think about things e.g crazy people or money… alright, it could be anything.
My 1st "What i think about SINGAPORE CAR COLOURS"
Ans: Boring. Every one seems to be having either light grey, dark grey or black colour cars. No offense to those who does have those colours on their cars. Are all our taste the same?
This website was introduced by my sister who thought that it was fun to see which celebrity we look like by uploading our photos and then the system will churn out which celebrity we look like the most. I was excited to see which good-looking celebrity i had the most alike features with until my excitement turned into disappointment. See below..
(NOTE: I am only showing the celebrities that has the highest percentage of resemblance)
MY 1ST PHOTO
From this photo, i turned out to be …
"What? Is this BOY who acts as Harry Potter’s friend?" Great.
Percentage of resemblance : 66%
MY 2ND PHOTO
"Well, the relief for me was that this lady is actually the leader of a non- violent movement of human rights. An Asian woman leader who has won a Nobel prize."
Percentage of resemblance : 74%
MY 3RD PHOTO:-
Maybe things won’t get so bad if i put my childhood photo. I was wrong.
And this little gal actually looks like this guy??
"At first i was thinking who is this guy??" But it actually turned out to be a pro tennis player. This is just one of his early days photos."
Percentage of resemblance : 63%
The moral of the story is this thing doesnt work at all! I seriously don’t see any resemblance whatsoever! When i was trying the other photos of my family members, all of my siblings including myself all have the resemblance of stephen chow and guess who else got it? My dad! 3 of us also has the resemblance of Leslie Cheong which my mum has also. Good thing is that i do look like some good looking celebrities but sadly the percentage is not high. Ah… who cares? It is not accurate at all! Try it at your own risk…
I wonder how many of us watch this show on Channel 8 that airs from Mon to Fri at 9pm-10pm. I must say that i ain’t a drama-tv-addict but i must say that this show is informative & shows the funny side of marriage.
Frankly speaking, seeing married couples quarreling on TV is the same as it is live. Noisy. 2 people trying to scream n shout to get their point across. I rather see a wrestling match, at least that is more exciting.
Sad to say that in every divorce or separation, the kids always suffer. I believe 80% end up screwed up when they grow up and look for bad things such as drugs etc to numb their pain. Think every one who desires or is going to get married should never enter into marriage unless they are ready to be together forever esp if there are children involved. Cause it is no different from people who abort their children, giving them no choice but to suffer from the pain your brought into them. Yes, no divorce, no separation. Whatever it is, work it out.
What is more shocking to me is how married women behave today, ok, maybe singapore women. Many shows i watched protrays women as being ruthless, unforgiving & hard-hearted. When they find that their man is cheating on them, they IMMEDIATELY ask for divorce, some without even finding out the truth first. Well, i am not helping the guys but i find this behaviour not acceptable. Ok… so, he made a mistake but being a Christian that i am, I am taught to forgive because only then God can forgive me for my mistakes as well. Forgiveness also brings peace to one’s heart or else you might end up being an angry person all the time.
So what do u say gals? Give the boys a chance? Even if they screw up big time. We are stronger than most of them when it comes to self-control. Opps… or is it? Of course we don’t let them go away scoff free. I remember my parents punish me if i did any wrong thing (Which is not often) so just punish your men, make them wash toilet for the rest of their lives or something. Haha.. So whats the point of Mars Vs Venus? Nothing but a goal to help each other grow into a better person.
We, people are living in this world together and somehow, it feels like we are sharing a room together FOREVER, where we have to accept each others annoying bad behaviours even though it irritates us to the bones so here are some scenarios to let you know what i am talking about…
TOP 10 THINGS I JUST HATE WHEN IT HAPPENS:-
10. When you are already late for an appointment and you get stuck in this one-way traffic, driving behind an old lady driver.
9. Someone around you spits just seconds before you start eating.
8. You wear your NEW tee excitedly out until you bump into someone who is wearing the same tee also.
7. Kids who address you as auntie/uncle even though you are not that old.
6. Standing innocently at 1 position and then a smoker blows smoke into your face.
5. Elderly Ah Gong/Ah Ma uses his/her seniority to cut queue.
4. Taxi drivers who doesn’t signal, cuts into your lane & expects you to give way.
3. People who swoops in behind you & steals your targeted table when you are just 1 arm’s length away & pretends you are invisible when you throw back dirty stares.
2. You were talking to your friend until someone infront of you farts, making you swallow a mouthful of it. (*_*)
1. People sitting behind you either keeps talking, eats loudly or just vibrates your seat when he/she shakes his/her "parkinson’s disease" legs.
My this week’s recommendation is nice, sweet but most importantly delicious desserts. When i was in Hong Kong last january, the people there thinks that having dessert after a meal it is a healthy choice. Supposedly to feel the sense of wholeness, i think. Thats why there are awesome desserts stores in HK. Whether it is hot and cold, i guarantee you that there will be one type that you love.
My favourite dessert is mango pudding. I don’t really like dessert that are hot in nature such as green bean soup or "cheng teng" kind. If i am in a dessert shop, i will definately go for the ones that are in the cold dessert section. Ok… don’t be lor sor… My this week’s recommendation - Ah Chew Desserts… No no, thats not me sneezing (Ok, its lame joke) Let’s look at the pic shall me?
Look at that!! Real mango bits with sago… indeed a delight. The other one is the egg custard which is famous at this shop. This shop only sells desserts so that are focus in preparing the best. Best thing about this shop is that it closes till late whether it is the weekday or weekend. The price is reasonable because it is good stuff. They have a wide range of hot desserts too so for those of you who prefer the hot ones, will like this place. The only disadvantage that because of its popularity, it is often crowded and might need a while to park or wait for seats. So if you are hungry and want to eat something light late at night, this is a good place to go to.
So here is where you find this shop.
Ah Chew Desserts
1 Liang Seah Street, #01-11
*Hopefully i don’t have to fight for a seat with you when i see you there.
If you hadn’t really know, this weekend is mother’s day so for the love of God, do something nice for your mum. Buy her something pretty if you have the money if not, just for once this year to be good and clean your room or something. Have a good weekend everyone!

5. "Is this really neccessary?"
4. "Gzeesh"
3. "Why is it so thick?"
2. "What a waste of time"

So what are your thoughts when you see this book? Comment below.
This good-looking couple are my parents. They are celebrating their 31st wedding anniversary today. I know that my greatest blessing in life i have from God is giving me awesome parents like them. They are the nicest & most generous people i know in this world.
What touched my heart most is when my dad remembered this day even when my mum had forgotten about it. Most years i know it was mum reminding him about it. Dad is such a busy, busy man but after all these years, he still remembers his covenant with my mum.
I sincerely believe that my dad n mum didn’t read books like "men are from mars, woman are from venus" books to make their marriage work. Neither did my dad look to his dad as an example esp when his dad had 2 wives. I believe for guys, they are attracted to loyalty and ladies are attracted to faithfulness. Mum didn’t ditch him when his business wasn’t doing well one time. Thats loyalty. Dad didn’t have other ladies in his life. Thats faithfulness. When you can find these attributes in your partner, there is a 50-50 chance that the marriage is gonna work.
Happy 31st anniversary mum n dad!!!
